NEW ENCLOSURE TO CHIMPANZEES

Lucy and her baby Noel got together with Nancy, who is pregnant, and moved to a new enclosure recently built at Curitiba Sanctuary. This enclosure has the same extraordinary standards of the existing ones, where a total of 19 chimpanzees live.

Nancy and Lucy's reunion was very touching, with hugs and kisses followed by the classic grooming (skin care) that chimpanzees do with each other. Both chimpanzees lived almost all their lives in ex-Garcia circus. After the circus' closing and its owner death, they were delivered to Anita and Milan Starostik's sanctuary, in Curitiba, Paraná.
